It’s time for the UFC 216 main event.
Kevin Lee opens up with a head kick early. Body kick from Lee. Ferguson inactive, just movement. Tony Drops Lee with a low kick. But it’s nothing. After a brief feeling out period, Lee lands on top and h dominates Ferguson from top position with ground and pound until the round ends.
Round two and the two keep it standing through the first two minutes. Kevin Lee has slowed his pace down, and Tony yet to find his range or rhythm. Midway through and Ferguson starts landing. He hits Lee with a step-in elbow that busts the fighters face up. Lee now a bloody mess and eating Ferguson shots. Tony walks away with the round.
Round 3 and Ferguson picking Lee apart. Lee with two big takedowns in the round, but he’d pay for the second one. Ferguson sets up a triangle. Gets it and forces Lee to tap.
Result: Tony Ferguson def. Kevin Lee via submission (Armbar — Round 3)
