Fans flocked to Sao Paulo, Brazil on Saturday night for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s most recent event. The mixed martial arts promotion hosted UFC Fight Night 119 with a series of exciting performances.
In the night’s co-main event, grappling phenom and Brazilian native Demian Maia threw down with Colby Covington. Covington offered a series of trash-talk to his opponent leading up to the night’s event. Still, the fighter was able to overcome Maia with a unanimous decision victory over the Brazilian competitor.
With the two fighters having entered a bloody three round war, both fighters were looking worse for wear. Now Demian Maia has offered an update to his fight fans, including a picture of his still healing face a day removed from the intense brawl.
Quero agradecer o apoio e a torcida de todos, em mais uma etapa nesse meu caminho.

Following the fight, Colby Covington was escorted out of the arena as fans began to throw food and curses at the fighter. Of course, Covington riled the crowd with a statement after his victory in which he referred to Brazil as a “dump” and its residents as “filthy animals.”
