UFC lightweight Will Brooks was set to compete in last weekend’s UFC 216 event. On a two fight losing streak, the fighter was surely ready to get back into the winning column. Still, with only a day before his fight, Brooks’ match up was pulled from the event. Brooks’ opponent, Nik Lentz, failed to show to the official weigh-ins. As a result, the fighter was pulled from the event and Will Brooks along with him. Now it would appear that the fighter has gone to social media to share some heated words over a report that was “click baiting fans” concerning his UFC 216 match up.
The MMA Report’s Jason Floyd recently took to Twitter to state:
“Email from Nevada Athletic Commission states Nik Lentz, Will Brooks, and Derrick Lewis were not paid by the commission for UFC 216”
Unhappy with this report, Will Brooks took to social media to respond. Check out Brook’s comments in the Twitter posts below:

"Not paid by the commission" doesn't say I'm not getting paid by @danawhite and the @ufc https://t.co/QJDO7wuPiW

With my track record of being open and honest. If I didn't get paid I'd be the first to say something. So don't believe everything you see https://t.co/QJDO7wuPiW

Where in this email does it say I wasn't paid at all? Your tweeting as though I didn't or won't be getting paid at all. https://t.co/w5lM50BsAa
