Former boxing champion Paul Malignaggi has formed some bad blood with UFC superstar Conor McGregor. The retired boxer entered McGregor’s training camp, as “Notorious” was preparing for his big boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather Jr. earlier this summer. However, Malignaggi departed from the camp after a series of sparring photos were leaked onto the internet. McGregor and Malignaggi have been on bad terms ever since.
With McGregor having suffered a TKO loss to Mayweather, it would appear that Malignaggi may be looking to face “Notorious” inside the octagon.
Taking to Instagram, mixed martial arts legend and former UFC competitor Phil Baroni revealed that he is now training the former boxing champion in MMA.
“In the @futurelegendapparel lab again.” former UFC fighter Phil Baroni said on social media. “Working on wrestling. Listen @thenotoriousmma we all know you don’t wana box and get beat by Paulie. But did you know @paulmalignaggi wrestled in 6th and 7th grade and only lost 4Xs I’m training him now in MMA and that means your dead meat. You can run but you cant hide. #mma #boxing #ufc #vegasboxing #zuffaboxing #hammerhouse @futurelegendapparel #nyba #besteva #happybirthdaypaulie”
