With the rising popularity of UFC superstar Conor McGregor, as the fighter became the first UFC competitor to simultaneously hold two titles, super-fights between champions have become a welcome prospect to many fight fans. That being said, it would appear that UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg has no interest is facing off against UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Cyborg revealed that she would prefer to not fight a fellow Brazilian such as Amanda Nunes. However, if the champion was out of willing opponents, she would perhaps go toe-to-toe with Nunes. For Cyborg’s full thoughts on the matter, check out the interview below:
Cyborg is setting up to make her first title defense, after earning the featherweight belt with a TKO victory over Tonya Evinger at UFC 214. Now the featherweight champion will be facing off against former bantamweight champion Holly Holm at UFC 219. The pay-per-view event will go down Dec. 30 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
