UFC superstar Conor McGregor attempted to take over the world of boxing back in August. While the fighter suffered a TKO defeat in his professional boxing debut, it would appear that the UFC lightweight champion may have come closer to taking over the boxing world than some may have initially expected.
McGregor faced off against undefeated pugilist legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. While “Notorious” suffered a TKO loss, the fighter also walked away with an alleged $100 million from his boxing debut.
During the build up to McGregor vs. Mayweather, former boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya had some heated exchanges with UFC President Dana White over the legitimacy of the match up. The former boxing champion was seemingly not a fan of the mixed martial arts fighter’s attempt to take over the world of boxing. That in mind, De La Hoya called out McGregor shortly after the UFC champion’s fight with Mayweather.
Now Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe has come forward to roast Oscar De La Hoya for his recent call out of McGregor. Check out Ellerbe’s response to the news in the video below:
