It would appear that Rose Namajunas is not quite down throwing punches.
“Thug” Rose shocked Madison Square Garden when she earned a first round knockout victory over UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217. The fight went down Saturday night, Nov. 4, for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s second ever appearance at the illustrious New York arena.
Jedrzejczyk was undefeated in her mixed martial arts career prior to UFC 217, having accrued an impressive 14 fight winning streak. However, it all came to an end when the champion was dethroned with a first round stoppage by the tough contender.
The newly crowned UFC strawweight champion can be seen in the video above waking up her significant other, former UFC competitor Pat Barry, in a rather unorthodox fashion.
With a boxing glove, Namajunas can be seen punching her boyfriend in the face while he sleeps. Grant it, the technique appeared to effectively wake up the fellow fighter. Check it out in the video above.
