Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov were initially set to face off for the UFC lightweight interim title back at UFC 209. However, “The Eagle” was rushed to the hospital following weight management issues. As a result, the night’s co-main event match up was pulled. Ferguson would go on to win the interim title in a fight against Kevin Lee, as Nurmagomedov continued to heal from his injury.
It has since been revealed that Ferguson allegedly turned down a fight offer against “The Eagle.” Taking to Twitter, Ferguson has now decided to share some heated words with the fighter.
“Listen Ya Fragile Fatass, The Last Time We Tried To Fight That Hat Of Yours Collected Cobwebs.” said the interim UFC lightweight champion on his social media. “How ‘Bout Ya Take A Number… Make Weight, Show Up & Shut Up. Who’s Irrelevant Now? -Thee MF’n Champ ???? #SnapDownCityBitch SnapJitsu™#TeamTiramisu4L #Towel7 #JustSayNo”
