Fight fans were in the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia on Saturday night, Nov. 18. for UFC Fight Night 121. The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s fight card hosted a series of match ups. And, it would appear that the event has now broken a UFC record. Grant it, it was not precisely the record that many fight fans may have expected.
The fight card was 13 strong, with a collection of popular finishers in the night’s event. That being said, of the 13 fights, 10 of the match ups ultimately went the distance. The night’s five round main event was among those to reach a decision.
It has since been reported by the UFC on FOX crew that UFC Fight Night 121 has broken the UFC record for longest 13 match up fight card. The event ran a total 3 hours, 4 minutes and 18 seconds.
In the night’s main event, former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum earned a unanimous decision victory over Marcin Tybura.
