For month’s now the world has been rampant with speculation on Conor McGregor’s next fight, and if we are to believe UFC president Dana White, he just narrowed it down pretty substantially, and confirmed where Conor McGregor’s next fight will take place.
Rumors have linked the UFC mega-star to bouts against Canelo Alvarez, Paulie Malignaggi, a Floyd Mayweather rematch, and most recently Manny Pacquiao. All of which under the sport of boxing.
Well, now Dana White has put the entire sport of boxing in his champion’s rear-view, and stated that Conor is not going to box next.
This narrows the field down to just a few potential candidates. McGregor could return to the UFC and defend his world title. He could also take on UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway, and reclaim the title that was stripped. The UFC could opt for another money fight with Nate Diaz, or maybe even GSP.
While all that remains a possibility still, the UFC boss has confirmed that Conor McGregor’s next fight will indeed happen in the UFC and not in the sport of boxing.
