It would appear that undefeated pugilist legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. took a hit over the weekend, as the former boxer’s Beverly Hills home has suffered a break in.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. pulled himself out of retirement earlier this year for one final performance inside the squared circle. This time around, the boxing phenom put his perfect 49-0 record on the line in one of the year’s most highly anticipated sporting events.
UFC superstar Conor McGregor tried to take over the world of boxing by making his professional debut in the sport inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. on Aug. 26, 2017. For the fight, “Notorious” went toe-to-toe with none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. himself.
McGregor came out with a bang, earning the first round in many fans eyes. However, Mayweather retaliated with a rough eight rounds for the rest of the fight. In the tenth round, the undefeated boxer managed to put McGregor away for a TKO victory. Slipping back into retirement, Mayweather has completed his boxing career with a perfect record of 50-0.
Mayweather allegedly earned a staggering $300 million for his final boxing performance, as McGregor earned an expected $100 million for his boxing debut. Mayweather vs. McGregor would go on to break the pay-per-view sales record previously held by Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. Now the undefeated boxer has taken part in the two highest PPV selling sporting events in history.
After taking out McGregor and slipping back into retirement, Mayweather moved into a multi-million dollar mansion in the Beverly Hills that reportedly set the former boxer back upwards of $26 million. Now it would appear that Mayweather’s new mansion has been burglarized.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been on a tour through China as of later. As a result, the boxer was no where near his California home when the robbery took place. As reported by TMZ Sports, a member of Mayweather’s staff discovered a broken window at the estate and that multiple items had gone missing from the mansion. All in all, the robbery reportedly ended in over $10,000 worth of items being stolen from the property.
