It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has decided to release a total seven competitors from their contracts over the past month. Now it’s time to see which fighters will no longer be competing inside the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion.
Angela Magana is no longer fighting under the UFC banner. It was recently revealed that the fighter was released from her contract with the UFC after she suffered her fifth consecutive loss inside the octagon. The fighter made her return to the octagon after two years away from the UFC to face Amanda Bobby Cooper at UFC 218. However, the fight did not go Magana’s way. The fighter would go on to lose to Cooper by TKO in the second round. With that in mind, Magana is not the only fighter to have recently been cut from the UFC roster.
Pearl Gonzalez now holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 6-3, but the fighter will no longer be competing under the UFC banner. The fighter never achieved a victory inside the octagon, as Gonzalez has gone on a two fight losing streak since competing for the promotion. Gonzalez has since offered a reaction to the news of her cut from the UFC roster.
