Back at July’s Bellator 181 event, lightweight fighter Brandon Girtz became a viral sensation after suffering a doctor stoppage loss against Derek Campos. The fighter suffered a nasty cut, that turned out to be the exact shape of the infamous Air Jordan logo, and the bout was stopped as a result. Now, six-months removed from that night, and his cut is all healed up, but the scar it left behind has made this prize fighter air Jordan for life.
Where you at Nike?
The bout that inflicted the scar was halted in the second round after doctors would not let the fighter proceed. It’s now one of the most famous cuts in all of mixed martial arts history.
Gritz returns to action this Saturday as part of the Bellator 190 main card, and the folks at Spike and Bellator are using his healed up Jordan logo to promote his return to action.

Should Nike throw this guy a bone, or maybe at least a pair of new kicks?
Bellator 190 goes down from Nelson Mandela Forum, in Firenze, Italy. The night’s main card is set to air live on SPIKE TV.
