Move Over CM Punk, New WWE Star Dominant In His Recent MMA Debut

“Gentleman” Jack Gallagher has raised quite a few eyebrows in the World Wrestling Entertainment with his performances on “205 Live”, but very few fans know he’s also a talented Mixed Martial Artist. As a WWE Superstar, Gallagher has some incredible high flying ability, but it was his prowess on the mat that helped him succeed in the cage.

Gallagher joins the likes of Brock Lesnar, David Bautista and CM Punk as WWE stars who’ve all crossed over to the world of MMA. Lesnar of course is a former UFC heavyweight champion and one of the biggest stars in the history of the UFC.

Dave Batista also made a successful transition from the pro wrestling ring and was able to win his debut under the Strikeforce banner.

Unfortunately for CM Punk, he’s the only one to lose his MMA debut. Punk was thoroughly dominated and submitted by Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in September of 2016, although his octagon return is imminent.

Rumors place CM Punk back in the UFC sometime in 2018, although no opponent has been confirmed as of yet.
