Former UFC strawweight champion Carla Esparza has a tough fight ahead of her in next week’s UFC 219 event. However, Carla Esparza is showing off her pre-fight body, just north of one week out from her main card bout.
Carla Esparza was crowned the first female champion of her division after coming out on top of a talent rich Ultimate Fighter reality show. She earned the strap after beating current champion Rose Namajunas in the finale, and then lost it in her first defense against former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Now, fresh off her June win over Maryna Moroz, Esparza will look to put together her first two-fight win streak in three years.
A tall order is ahead of her though, as she faces of with surging Team Alpha Male product Cynthia Calvillo. Calvillo is unbeaten in all of her professional fights and has finished two of her three UFC opponents since signing with the promotion.
In a new post to her social media, Esparza shows off how serious she took this camp, as evidenced by her phenomenal physical shape.

UFC 219 goes down from the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. In the night’ main event Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm collide for the UFC’s female featherweight world title. The night’s main card will air live on pay-per-view.
