The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up for another exhilarating night of fights. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is looking to end the year of 2017 with bang. With that in mind, the UFC has decided to reveal the main card for one of the promotion’s quickly approaching UFC 219.
Fight fans will be flocking to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. on Dec. 30 for the UFC’s final event of the year. UFC 219 is set to feature a title fight for the ages, as UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is set to make her first title defense. For the match up, the title holder will be going toe-to-toe with former bantamweight champion Holly Holm. Holm shocked the world with a knockout victory over Ronda Rousey. Now the fighter will be looking to shock the world again as she takes on another dominant female fighter inside the octagon.
The event is also set to feature an enticing co-headliner, as lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov will be making his long awaited octagon return after recovering from previous medical concerns caused by weight management issues. For the fight, “The Eagle” will be going toe-to-toe with the always dangerous Edson Barboza.
