Another great night of fights is in the books. With the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) having put on another great fight card, the time has come to take a look at the UFC fighter payroll.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion was in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday night, Dec. 30, for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 219. The event featured a score of entertaining match ups, including an octagon war for the featherweight title in the night’s headliner.
UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg went toe-to-toe with former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm in a battle for the belt. Cyborg ended up walking away with a unanimous decision victory over her opponent, as well as a massive sum for her fight purse.
Cyborg earned the most for the night, winning a grand total of $500,000 for her successful title defense. However, the champion was not the only fighter to walk away with a large total from the night’s event.
