Floyd Mayweather Jr. is perhaps one of the greatest competitors to ever step inside the squared circle. The fighter retired with an undefeated record of 49-0 just to return for one final match up. There, the pugilist legend went toe-to-toe with a fighter making his debut in the sport.
Grant it, it was not just any fighter. Earlier this year UFC superstar Conor McGregor was looking to take over the world of boxing by making his debut in the sport in a match up against none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. himself.
The two squared off on Aug. 26 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. for one of the year’s most highly anticipated sporting events. Mayweather ultimately walked away with a TKO victory over “Notorious,” earning each fighter a massive payday from the grandly successful pay-per-view event. Now 50-0, Mayweather slipped back into retirement with a perfect record.
While the pugilist legend may have never been defeated during his career, Mayweather still had some rough moments inside the squared circle. The highlight of the boxer’s “worst moments,” as seen below, would likely be McGregor’s favorite film to sardonically study. Check it out in the video provided.
