UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has been weighing his options as of late. The fighter has been eyeing a super-fight with the likes of Nate Diaz and Georges St-Pierre. However, after being turned down by Diaz and St-Pierre’s recent bout with colitis, the welterweight champion began to consider a shoulder surgery that he has been putting off. That being said, Woodley has now decided to call out one of the division’s contenders.
Former UFC champion Rafael dos Anjos is set to face off against fellow former title holder Robbie Lawler at UFC on FOX 26. Now it would appear that Woodley is rooting for dos Anjos to come out on top and to then fight him for the belt.
RDA is currently undefeated ever since his move to 170lbs and has been very vocal about wanting to fight for the title.
Taking to Twitter, the UFC recently revealed the news. In the Tweet, Woodley is quoted as having said:
“Get past Robbie Lawler first, then come holla at these hands.”
