UFC Schedule
It’s been an unusually active day for the UFC’s matchmaking deparment, as the world’s largest Mixed Martial Arts promotion has announced six new fights for the upcoming UFC schedule.
The UFC is always hard at work, trying to give fight fans the most compelling matchups available. Today though, it announced six intriguing fights, definitely more than the usual.
Most notable of the announcements is the return of UFC stars, Jimi Manuwa, Sara McMann and John Dodson, but that’s not all.
UFC Fight Night 126
The UFC also announced a lightweight bout between James Vick and Francisco Trinaldo. The fight is set for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 126 event from Austin, Texas on February 18.
The UFC released news of the lightweight bout in a press release that reads,
Currently tied at number 14 in the divisional rankings at 155 pounds, Texas’ own James Vick and Brazil’s Francisco Trinaldo get a chance to break that tie on Feb. 18, when they collide in a UFC Fight Night matchup at Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
Tickets for UFC Fight Night, which is headlined by the welterweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros, go on sale on Jan. 5. FS1 will televise.
Also added to the event is a lightweight clash between Jared Gordon and Diego Ferreira.
However, the UFC schedule wasn’t done getting fights added to it just yet. Also on that same Austin card is a fight between Jared Gordon and Carlos Diego. Gordon took to his own Twitter account this afternoon to announce the bout as official.

UFC Fight Night 125
The UFC will return to Brazil on February 3 for UFC Fight Night 125, and as such a pair of fights has been announced for the event. According to the Brazilian media, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s brother Abubakar has been booked against Sergio Moraes.
Also added to the UFC schedule for the promotions return to Brazil, on February 3 is a bantamweight bout between John Dodson and Pedro Munhoz. The bantamweight fight was announced as official today.
UFC Fight Night 127
In another event, the UFC’s official European offices hit the airwaves today, announcing a light-heavyweight bout for the promotion’s return to London. Light heavyweights Jimi Manuwa and Jan Blachowicz will rematch in main card action.
The UFC opted to release news of this fight via Twitter, and Munawa quickly followed it up confirming the bout.

UFC on Fox 28
Lastly, but certainly not least, Olympic Silver medalist Sara McMann has booked her return to action. The 2004 Olympic medalist will welcome Invicta FC Champion Yana Kunitskaya to the UFC.
The two UFC females are set to face off at UFC on FOX 28 on February 24, from the Amway Center, in Orlando, Florida.
Yana was first to announce the bout on her social media, and Sara McMann later confirmed the fight.
