UFC Schedule
The UFC keeps announcing fights on the upcoming UFC schedule for the first quarter of 2018. However, one big title fight that eluded us last year, is now back on the books.
UFC 222
Max Holloway will face his toughest stylistic matchup to date, and defend his title against Frankie Edgar at UFC 222.
UFC 222 goes down on March 3 at T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas. The fight card airs live on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Frankie Edgar is a Hawaiian fighter killer, as he’s undefeated against the island state. Edgar will look to continue that dominance by finally capturing his second division world title and secure his place in the UFC history books.
If successful, Edgar will become the first man to hold UFC gold in the lightweight and featherweight divisions, respectfully.
Holloway though, is no easy task, holding one of the largest win streaks in UFC history. He defeated Jose Aldo for the undisputed UFC featherweight title in June of last year and then followed it up with an equally dominant performance in their UFC 218 rematch.
The last man to defeat Holloway is UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. The addition of Holloway vs Edgar to the already stacked UFC schedule is certainly a welcome one for fight fans.
