UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is on a warpath to bulk up the female featherweight division within the sport of mixed martial arts. Now the title holder is even willing to shift to competing promotion Bellator MMA to do so.
Cyborg earned the UFC fetherweight title back at UFC 214, getting a TKO victory over former Invicta bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger for the belt. Since then, Cyborg earned a decision victory over former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm.
UFC President Dana White has since come forward to reveal that he would like to see Cyborg face off against reigning UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in the featherweight class. However, Cyborg has since turned down the possibility.
Rather, the UFC featherweight champion is demanding that the UFC sign more UFC female featherweight competitors to enlarge the division. As heard in the video below, Cyborg has now revealed that she is willing to shift over to Bellator MMA after her fight contract with the UFC is complete if her demands are not met.
