UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas shocked the world when she took out the formerly dominant Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217. Namajunas earned a finish over Jedrzejczyk within the first round, dethroning Jedrzejczyk from the strawweight title and her undefeated streak.
Ever since the tough loss, Jedrzejczyk has been campaigning for a rematch with the newly crowned champion. As recently reported, the two fighters are now officially set to face off once again.
UFC President Dana White recently revealed that Jedrzejczyk and Namajunas will be battling it out for the UFC strawweight title at UFC 223. The event goes down April 7 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Now Joanna Jedrzejczyk has decided to offer her reaction to the recent news. Taking to Instagram, the former title holder stated:
“I’m taking back what belongs to me! The belt is commin’ to Poland again!?? | Już wkrótce odbieram to co należy do mnie! Pas już wkrótce wraca do Polski! #TheQueenIsBack #joannajedrzejczyk #JJ #JJisback #JJSTRONG #thestrawweightqueen #JOANNACHAMPION #imcomming @joannajedrzejczyk”
