It would appear that UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee is starting to get more aggressive towards UFC superstar Nate Diaz. The fighter has now gone to social media to claim that Diaz is stealing his “shine,” only to quickly delete the message after.
UFC megastar Nate Diaz has not competed inside the octagon since 2016. The mixed martial arts warrior cultivated one of the sport’s most highly entertaining rivalries with fellow superstar Conor McGregor.
Diaz choked out “Notorious” in their first octagon war, with McGregor earning a close decision victory in the rematch. Now 1-1 in their rivalry, many fight fans are hoping for a potentially UFC pay-per-view record breaking trilogy rematch between the two.
Well, Diaz recently took to social media to reveal plans to return to the octagon. Taking to Instagram, Diaz said:
“Sick of sitting around waiting for you f**kers to do sh*t there’s no excitement in this fight sh*t step your games up I’ll see u around may,June. Sincerely The Real Champ”
Since then, Diaz has been called out by a few fighters. Among them, Kevin Lee took to social media to take aim at Diaz. Over Twitter, the fighter stated:
“Put yo money up then @NateDiaz209 Or shut the f*ck up and go back to riding bikes around the park”

Kevin Lee most recently faced a submission loss to Tony Ferguson in a battle for the UFC interim lightweight title. Still, it would appear that the fighter’s recent loss is not deterring him from getting riled up over the possible return of Nate Diaz.
Lee has now gone to Instagram to post a video of himself once again talking trash about Diaz. This time, Lee claimed that he will not allow Diaz to return to the octagon to steal his “shine.”
Shortly after posting the video, Lee removed the clip from his social media account. Still, fight fans are talking about the message.
With Diaz being a massive pay-per-view draw with fights against some of the toughest and most talented mixed martial arts warriors in the sport, it isn’t quite clear what “shine” Diaz would need to borrow from the former interim title challenger. Still, Lee appears adamant on getting Diaz’s attention.
