Want to know who hits harder? The infamous punching machine takes no prisoners, and tells no lies, and in this new video we get a Conor McGregor vs. Oscar De La Hoya matchup.
Oscar De La Hoya recently called for a fight against UFC champion Conor McGregor. This was after Conor fought and lost to Floyd Mayweather, and after the Golden Boy boxing promotions president spoke out against any boxer willing to fight McGregor.
De La Hoya was quoted with saying, “You know I’m competitive. I still have it in me. I’ve been secretly training, secretly training. I’m faster than ever and stronger than ever. I know I can take out Conor McGregor in two rounds. I’ll come back for that fight. Two rounds. Just one more [fight]. I’m calling him out. Two rounds, that’s all I need. That’s all I’m going to say. You heard it on Golden Boy Radio. Two rounds, that’s all I need.”
De La Hoya hasn’t fought professionally since his 2008 knockout loss to Manny Pacquiao. He was inducted into the Boxing Hall Of Fame in 2014 and was believed to never want to fight again. However, the lure of a big payday against Conor McGregor seemed like a real possibility for a brief moment in time.
De La Hoya would eventually back off the callouts of the UFC champion, and confess he no longer has it in him to fight. Still though, in a recent post to his instagram, the Olympic Gold medalist proved he’s still got a punch, when he scored a 920 on the punching machine.
Oddly enough, we also have a video of Conor McGregor hitting the same punching machine, and yes, McGregor outscored the boxer by a very low margin.
The videos can be seen in a side by side comparison in the video player below.
