The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will have to scramble to keep UFC light heavyweight Ovince St. Preux on the card for their upcoming UFC on FOX 27. The fighter’s opponent has now pulled out of the event, losing the mixed martial arts promotion one of the card’s marquee fights.
Ovince St. Preux was initially set to face off against Ilir Latifi on the night’s main card. However, St. Preux has since gone to social media to reveal that Latifi has suffered an injury, forcing the fighter out of the match up.
Taking to Twitter, St. Preux stated:
“. @Latifimma is hurt & out of our scrap next Sat in Charlotte, NC #UFConFOX27 who wants to step up and scrap? I’m even open to going up in weight if NO guys in my division will step up? Looking for someone to do what I do: step up and fight…”
