UFC president Dana White has cast his official predictions for 2018, and they are some shockers.
Following yesterday’s special press conference, where the promotion officially announced an Edgar vs. Holloway title fight, and a Khabib vs. Ferguson title fight, Dana White was conducting one-on-one interviews with select members of the media.
One outlet, who got the most from Dana White, was Canada’s TSN.
The TSN reporter asked White about several scenarios for the new year, including if we would see Ronda Rousey, the Diaz brothers, Brock Lesnar, Jon Jones, Conor McGregor, and GSP return to action.
Surprisingly, Dana White seemed pretty confident that all but Ronda Rousey would indeed return to action in the new year.
Of course, Jon Jones must get passed USADA, and be found innocent. But outside of that, everyone else it’s open season on.
Brock Lesnar’s suspension from his Mark Hunt UFC 200 fight was up this month, and his contract with the WWE is reportedly near it’s end.
Conor McGregor’s camp has confirmed the mega-star will return to action in 2018, though Dana White says he’ll fight twice this year.
And Nick Diaz was recently seen at the UFC Performance Institute teasing a comeback.
At the new year in 2017, Dana White was asked a similar series of questioning and he was 75% accurate.
Can he continue with these odds? And if he does, what a year we’re in store for.
