Following his history making win over the highly hyped Francis Ngannou two weeks ago in the UFC 220 main event, Stipe Miocic’s eye was visibly wrecked.
The UFC heavyweight champion took a solid punch to the face in the first round of their five round war, and the swelling was nearly instant.
Miocic credits just one punch from Ngannou for the massive black eye, and here we are, exactly two weeks to the day from that night, and Stipe’s eye is still damaged.
In the images below, we’ve tried to show multiple angles of the eye, which still has bruising under it, but more notably still has blood in it.
It’s eerily identical to the damaged eye of Michael Bisping, who by the way is eluding that he’s retired due to his loss of vision in the eye.
And while Miocic’s eye will likely heal up in plenty of time for fight week, it’s very telling at how hard Ngannou hits, because rarely do we see damage to this extent, two weeks out from a fight.
