The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Belem, Brazil on Saturday night, Feb. 3, to host the promotion’s latest fight card. UFC Fight Night 125 went down for the Belem crowd, offering a night of entertaining match ups.
In the night’s co-main event, former UFC bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko made her flyweight debut by putting on a stunningly dominant performance. The fighter faced off against Priscila Cachoeira, who made her octagon debut in the match up.
Shevchenko pummeled Cachoeira with a flurry of ground and pound, before ultimately submitting the fighter in the second round. Now it would appear that the former title challenger’s dominant performance has broken a UFC record.
The striking statistics for the match up ended 217-1 in Shevchenko’s favor, setting a new UFC record.
