If you ask Joanna Jedrzejczyk what went wrong in her title losing bout against Rose Namajunas, she’ll tell anyone who will listen that a bad weight cut lead to her inability to perform on fight night.
The former UFC champion was on the cusp of being the most accomplished female fighter in UFC history, but “Thug” Rose would halt the Joanna rise, and knock her out in the very first round of their bout.
Now that the rematch is less than two-weeks away, it would appear as if the former champion has done everything in her power to make sure this weight cut goes much smoother.
The two face off at UFC 223, in the night’s co-main event from the Barclay Center, in Brooklyn, New York. The fight will air live on pay-per-view.
Ahead of fight night, Joanna reveals that she’s already ahead of schedule on her weight, and released the following update.
