Mike Perry Accepts Offer To Go Train At Colby Covington’s Gym

Fan favorite UFC welterweight Mike Perry lost his latest UFC fight on Saturday’s UFC Orlando event.

In the aftermath of the bout, controversial welterweight Colby Covington hit the man while he was down, and insulted his longtime girlfriend known to fight fans as, “The Platinum Princess”.

In a statement made on his twitter, Covington said, “Hey @PlatinumPerry, maybe having your ratchet horse faced girlfriend as your head trainer isn’t the smartest idea on planet earth. But hey, when you’re the product of cousins f**king in Ocala FL how strong can your decision making skills be? #UFCOrlando”

Colby Covington trains at South Florida’s American Top Team headquarters alongside several other UFC notables.

And while all this drama was going on, three key figures from the fight camp offered to aid Mike Perry in his UFC comeback.

“I wouldn’t mind welcoming @PlatinumPerry to @AmericanTopTeam in fact I would encourage it.. @DinThomas”

“I tried to holla at @PlatinumPerry a year ago. I’ve been down with him since back in the day. He know I F with him.”

“I second and third that. Got my vote coach. Yo @PlatinumPerry never hurts to get a new view on things.”

This means that they are putting Perry directly in the crosshairs of Colby Covington, should Perry agree to head down to American Top Team… And agree he did.

Taking to his twitter, Mike Perry answered the call to try out the world renowned training center, stating,

Yo @DinThomas @DaruStrong I appreciate you guys. Once I’m on the road and back in the gym I’d definitely wanna stop down and see you guys.

This could get interesting, because on Tuesday Perry issued a a few threats to Covington.

I am white , I am a fuckin bum , I did live in a trailer with my mom , but I’m not Eminem so Colby can’t smash my girl , if we fought I bet I’d fuck up his world #CantCountMeOut

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Perry offered another threat to Colby Covington.

“I really don’t like this motherf**ker,” Perry said. “He talking all this sh*t? I’ll get in his face for real.”
