Frankie Edgar Repeats History, Takes Out Swanson In UFC Co-Main Event | UFC Results

The time has finally come. Former UFC champion Frankie Edgar and Cub Swanson are now set to throw down in a highly anticipated rematch inside the octagon.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Atlantic City, New Jersey tonight, April 21, for UFC Fight Night 128. Co-headlining the night’s event, featherweights Cub Swanson and Frankie Edgar are looking to settle their score in front of the Atlantic City Crowd.

Edgar earned a stunning fifth round finish over Swanson back at UFC Fight Night 57, leaving Swanson hungry for a victory over the former champion. Check out the UFC results from their intense rematch down below.

Both fighters spent much of the first half of the opening round feeling out each other’s range and power. However, Edgar then managed to land a bomb on Swanson that pressured the fighter into the fence.

The second round fired off at a faster pace, as Edgar began pouring on the pressure with a series of striking. Swanson had yet to find a comfortable position in his striking, as Edgar continued to seemingly get the better of his opponent in the exchanges.

This was a dominant round for Edgar.

Neither fighter appeared gassed going into the final round, as “The Answer” remained busy on his feet. Swanson refused to back down, but seemed to struggle to meet the fighter point for point in the exchanges.

The fighters began trading brutal shots in the final moments of the match, but neither competitor managed to get a finish before the sound of the bell. This one has gone the distance.
