Former women’s UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk suffered a consecutive loss to the only fighter to ever defeat her inside the octagon on Saturday. Now the former title holder has come forward with a statement over the matter.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk was undefeated going into UFC 217, having garnered a stunning record of 14-0. However, Rose Namajunas managed to finish the champion within the first round for a TKO victory.
Following Jedrzejczyk’s title ending defeat to Namajunas, the two mixed martial artists were quickly locked in for an immediate rematch. Well, once again things did not go Jedrzejczyk’s way.
Namajunas and Jedrzejczyk co-headlined UFC 223 on Saturday, April 7, offering fight fans a brutal five round war for the title. In the end, Namajunas earned a unanimous decision for her second victory over the formerly dominant fighter.
Taking to Instagram, Jedrzejczyk has now offered a few words following the recent loss.
“Thank U all for the support! I’m proud of myself”
