Former UFC women’s strawweight Angela Magana and reigning UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg are not on the best of terms. Now it would appear that Cyborg has completed an anger management course following their previous fracas.
Leading up to the 2017 UFC Athlete Retreat, Angela Magana began trash-talking with Cris Cyborg over social media. When the two fighters crossed paths at the fighter summit, Cyborg decided to confront the strawweight.
Cyborg allegedly struck Magana in the face, where police were later called to the scene. The reigning UFC women’s featherweight champion has since faced a misdemeanor battery charge over the matter.
However, Cyborg’s battery case was dismissed on Tuesday. Rather, as reported by MMA Junkie, Cyborg has agreed to take a single impulse control counseling class and to pay a fine of $398.
Following a first round finish over Yana Kunitskaya, Cris Cyborg has yet to lock down her next octagon match up.
