UFC lightweight phenoms Justin Gaethje and Al Iaquinta are each coming off of losses after putting on crowd pleasing octagon wars. Now the two mixed martial artists will each have a shot at redemption as they face off against each other.
Justin Gaethje is currently coming off of a fight of the year contender against Dustin Poirier from UFC on FOX 29. Poirier ultimately earned a fourth round TKO victory over the fighter.
Meanwhile, Al Iaquinta went toe-to-toe with Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 223. After going all five rounds with the Dagestan native, Iaquinta suffered a unanimous decision loss to the fighter.
Speaking on the final edition of The MMA Hour on June 11, Al Iaquinta revealed that he is now locked in to fight Justin Gaethje on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 135. The event will take place Aug. 25 from within the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.
