The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is always on the lookout for new and exciting match ups to lock down. With that in mind, it would appear that two talented former champion may soon meet inside the octagon.
As reported by ESPN, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is currently targeting a fight between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman for UFC 230. UFC 230 goes down Nov. 3 inside the Madison Square Garden in Weidman’s home state of New York. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.
Weidman is riding a third round submission victory over Kelvin Gastelum, pulling the fighter out of a three fight losing streak. Meanwhile, Rockhold is coming of of a third round knockout loss to Yoel Romero.
Rockhold and Weidman first faced off back at UFC 194. Rockhold earned a TKO victory over his opponent within the fourth round.
