Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk is now coming off of a two fight losing streak to the reigning title holder. With that in mind, Jedrzejczyk is still confident that she is the “queen” of the division.
Jedrzejczyk suffered a brutal first round TKO loss to Rose Namajunas back at UFC 217, bringing an end to Jedrzejczyk’s title reign and her undefeated streak as a mixed martial artist. The two met for a rematch at UFC 223, with Namajunas earning a unanimous decision over her opponent.
Now Jedrzejczyk is set to face off against Tecia Torres at UFC on FOX 30 on July 28. Speaking at a recent autograph signing, as seen within the video below, Jedrzejczyk offered her short term goals within the UFC.
“I want to prove on Saturday that I am the best strawweight in the world.” Jedrzejczyk said. “I am the queen of the strawweight division. I will get this title back. After this fight, I go for the belt.”
