Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has picked up a stunning career within the world of professional wrestling. Now the former UFC title holder has locked down her next shot at the Women’s WWE Raw championship.
Ronda Rousey first fought Nia Jax for the belt back at Money In The Bank earlier this year. However, Alexa Bliss showed up and clocked Rousey in the back of the head as the former UFC champion was attempting to finish Nia Jax.
Rousey was then dealt a 30-day suspension for later attacking new Raw women’s champion Alexa Bliss on Monday Night Raw. Appearing at a recent WWE event as a crowd member, Rousey attacked Bliss all over again and had another week tacked on to her suspension that was initially set to end on Wednesday.
The WWE has since announced that Ronda Rousey’s big return, if Rousey can adhere to her suspension, will be a title match against Raw women’s champion Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam. The live pay-per-view event is set to take place in Brooklyn, New York on Aug. 19.
