Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has been a long standing WWE Universal Champion. That being said, the former UFC title holder last his WWE Raw title over the weekend.
WWE hosted the highly anticipated pay-per-view SummerSlam on Sunday, Aug. 19, from within the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Featured in the night’s event, Brock Lesnar faced off against longstanding rival Roman Reigns.
Braun Strowman, however, made a surprise appearance during the match and declared that he would watch the match and take on the winner. Lesnar took a pummeling from Roman Reigns before exiting the ring long enough to take out Storwman.
However, Roman Reigns welcomed Brock Lesnar back into the ring and managed to earn a victory over the former UFC champion in swift fashion. Check out highlights from the night’s event down below.
