Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has faced off against some seriously tough fighters over the years. That being said, the former UFC title holder has now come forward with a few words on the one time he had a physical altercation outside of the octagon.
Jon Jones’ rivalry with now reigning two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier has grown more heated over the years. Jon Jones defeated D.C. in their first match up. However, Jones’ second victory over the fighter was ultimately overturned to a no contest after it was determined that Jones failed a drug test for the event.
Back in 2014, before their first throwdown, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier entered an incredibly heated altercation during a press event. Speaking in a recent interview, as seen within the video provided below, Jon Jones has now come forward to claim that his altercation with D.C. was the only street fight he has ever been in.
“I try not to get into street fights.” Jon Jones said. “The only street fight I have ever been in was when I fought Daniel Cormier at the MGM in the lobby at that facedown. It was something I’m not very proud of.”
