Early Saturday morning, UFC lightweight Desmond Green was reportedly involved in a deadly 5-car crash in Davie, Florida. New information concerning the incident has now come to light.
As reported by Local 10 ABC News, 28-year-old Desmond Green was driving a Dodge Durango just before 6:15 a.m. when the fighter lost control of the vehicle and veered into a collision path with a tractor-trailer.
The incident caused a chain-reaction of accident involving three other vehicles. Two passengers in a Toyota Yaris, 67-year-old Emelina Morfa and 76-year-old Emma Suarez Hernandez, were killed in the crash. The driver of the Toyota Yaris, 64-year-old Mily Vita-Vega, was seriously hurt in the crash and has been hospitalized at Memorial Regional Hospital.
Desmond Green and the driver of a Acura 3.2T each received only minor injuries. The reason behind why Desmond Green lost control of his vehicle is still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
