The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) made its big Russia debut on Saturday. With the event now in the books, the time has come to take a look back at the day’s exciting main event finish.
The highly anticipated fight card for UFC Fight Night 136 took place on Saturday, Sept. 15, from within the Olimplyskiy Stadium in Moscow, Russia. Headlining the night’s live UFC Fight Pass main card, UFC heavyweight knockout artist Mark Hunt went toe-to-toe with submission ace Aleksei Oleinik.
Oleinik made short work of his opponent. Hunt was seemingly getting the better of the fighter in their exchanges for the first minute of the fight, before Oleinik managed to drop Hunt.
Getting the fighter to the canvas, Oleinik sank in a rear-naked choked attempt and made Hunt tap in a fight ending sequence. Check out highlights from Oleinik’s first round submission victory down below.
