Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov called out Floyd Mayweather Jr. sometime after his submission victory over Conor McGregor at UFC 229. Mayweather has since shown an interest in the match up.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has now come forward to reveal that he has since talked to Floyd Mayweather Jr. about the potential match up and that the retired 50-0 boxer is seriously motivated for the bout.
“I talked to Floyd. Floyd said it’s the real deal. He said later on today He’s going to meet with Ali (Abdelaziz). Ali is Khabib’s manager. He says it’s the real deal and they’re going to talk. He says MGM Grand is going to be on board. He says Showtime is going to be on board.
“He thinks it’s a 70 percent chance they are going to scrap.”
