Well, the time has finally come. The headlining title fight for UFC 222 is now set to go down inside the octagon in Las Vegas, Nev.
UFC 222 is going down tonight, March 3, inside the T-Mobile Arena, offering fight fans a fight card full of exciting match ups. Featured in the night’s main event, women’s UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg will be defending her title from rising challenger Yana Kunitskaya.
Yana Kunitskaya is making her octagon debut against the UFC’s reigning champion, as the Invicta FC bantamweight champion is leaving behind her title in hopes of UFC gold. Check out the UFC results from the night’s entertaining main event down below.
The first round fired off at an aggressive pace. Cyborg seemingly rocked Kunitskaya early in the fight, but Kunitskaya retaliated with a takedown attempt.
However, Cyborg made it back to her feet. The champion then unleashed a flurry of strikes that sent Kunitskaya to the canvas. Referee Herd Dean had seen enough and called a stop to the contest.
