Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk put on a stunning performance over the weekend. That being said, the former title holder seemingly attempted to extend her position in the spotlight during her UFC Tonight interview.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk went toe-to-toe with Tecia Torres over the weekend. The two mixed martial artists faced off on the main card of UFC on FOX 30 in Calgary, Canada on Saturday, July 28.
Jedrzejczyk was coming off of a two fight losing streak, having suffered consecutive losses to reigning division champion Rose Namajunas. Facing Tecia Torres, Jedrzejczyk’s octagon war ultimately went the distance.
The former champion earned a unanimous decision victory over her opponent, much to the elation of Jedrzejczyk. Appearing at the desk with the UFC Tonight crew after the fight, Jedrzejczyk went into great detail concerning her performance.
When the fight continued to talk, UFC Tonight correspondent Karen Bryant was ultimately forced to cut off Jedrzejczyk so that FOX could go to a commercial break. The former champion attempted to finish her statement with, ‘and guys, you can follow me on…’. However, Bryant quickly cut the fighter off.
A video of the interview may be viewed below. However, the UFC has since edited out the awkward incident from the footage.
