Anderson Silva Still Wants To Fight Conor McGregor And GSP

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is still interested in fights with former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

“I think superfight with Georges is great,” Silva told FOX Sports. “It’s a big step for this sport because I think superfight with me and Georges St-Pierre or Conor McGregor is good for this sport and for the fans. I think (it would be) the best show for this sport.”

However, there may not be too much time left to make superfights starring Silva. During his interview, Silva revealed how much longer he plans to compete in MMA.

“I think five more years,” Silva said. “Maybe. My wife and kids would kill me but maybe three or four more years.”

Silva is widely considered to be the greatest MMA fighter of all time. He currently holds the record for the most consecutive title defenses in UFC history with 10.

Silva is scheduled to fight Derek Brunson in the co-main event of UFC 208 on Feb. 11 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm will fight Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship in the main event.
