Perhaps the biggest UFC fight of all time that never happened was the much talked about Ronda Rousey vs. Cris Cyborg mega fight. The bad blood between the two MMA female champs goes back for many years and was something the fans had clamored for.
However, at UFC 193 Holly Holm spoiled any chances of the fight ever happening. Holm picked apart Rousey and then landed a highlight reel headkick to finish her off in round two. A stunned crowd around the world just watched the invincible Ronda Rousey soundly dominated and beaten.
UFC 193’s result all but put the final nail in the coffin for any hopes of a Cyborg vs Rousey fight. Though according to Cyborg, Rousey’s focus being on her instead of Holm was what caused her demise.

“I think when Ronda fought Holly, everyone said after she beats Holly, you’re going to fight Cyborg,” UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg told the media earlier.
“She doesn’t think about Holly first. She already think about to accept fight with me. I think you have to think about each fight, you cannot think about already beating someone you haven’t fight yet. I think everyone was speaking of it before it happened.
