UFC 227 took place within the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday, Aug. 4. The live pay-per-view event featured a main event rematch between UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw and former title holder Cody Garbrandt. Co-headlining the night's card, UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson faced off against Henry Cejudo. As reported by MMA Fighting, "Mighty Mouse" earned a guaranteed $380,000 for his title ending split decision loss to Henry Cejudo. Meanwhile, Cejudo earned a guaranteed $100,000. While neither fighter reportedly earned a win bonus, Demetrious Johnson is believed to have gained a share of the pay-per-view purchases. T.J. Dillashaw took home a guaranteed $350,000 for his first round TKO victory over Cody Garbrandt, who earned a total $200,000. Cub Swanson took home $90,000 for his fight against Renato Moicano.
