Demian Maia has taken to Twitter to vent about his alleged move to UFC Fight Night: Nashville, and away from a title fight.
No. 3 ranked UFC welterweight Demian Maia has potentially been moved to the main event of April’s UFC Fight Night in Nashville. The fighter is allegedly facing Jorge Masvidal.
As the No.3 ranked welterweight, Maia is looking for a title fight. Though Current champion Tyron Woodley is set to face Stephen Thompson at UFC 209.
In response to the recent news, Maia stated over Twitter
“Sometimes in life, the more you pursuit a dream, the more it escapes you. All there’s left is to keep walking, and never give up…”
UFC Fight Night in Nashville is scheduled for April 22, though the main card is currently expected to be featherweights Cub Swanson vs. Artem Lobov.
