UFC made their way into Kansas City, Missouri for “UFC on FOX 24” last weekend and the event did not disappoint. In the co-main event of the evening, “Thug” Rose Namajunas welcomed “The Karate Hottie” Michelle Waterson into the octagon in a fight that likely decided who was next to challenge for the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship.
The fight kicked off slow with a long feeling out process, but it did not take long for Namajunas to find her footing and a comfortable distance to strike from. Namajunas kept Waterson guessing which strike was going to come next, constantly changing levels.
Namajunas was actually taken down with ease once they both found their footing, but Waterson could not stay on the offensive and Namajunas scrambled her way to the back of “The Karate Hottie”. Namajunas proved to be the superior grappler early on, and proceeded to batter Waterson with shots while standing and on the ground before submitting her.
UFC owns some of the best equipment around and their cameras captured the biggest blows of “UFC on FOX 24” in super slow-motion. Take a peek at how impactful the biggest kicks and punches were by watching the clip below:
